"Music is everything to me. Thanks to it, I live and breathe." - The story of Konstantin Kuchev
Konstantin Kuchev (or just Kosyo) is one of those inspiring musicians and artists you can say so much about that you don't know where to start. So we decided to invite him to tell us about his connection with music. And in case he manages to ignite the spark of singing, playing and creativity in you - look for his course "Find your voice" online (the next one is very soon).
When did you start playing music and how did you decide to start?
I've been involved in music since I dreamed of a tune as a child, I could have been 4. I dreamed of participating in an expedition to discover Noah's Ark, and that melody sounded in my head all the time. When I woke up, I sang to my father and he recorded me on the home tape recorder. After that case, it didn't settle until they signed me in for a violin class when I was 5. The violin was - and even more so now is - my favorite instrument.
What is music for you? What did it teach you?
Music is everything to me. Thanks to her I live and breathe. I can't imagine how I would be present without music. Nothing else can do and I would expand at every step in every other area of life. But through her I found myself, I found professional realization, I met real friends in life. She continues to teach me every day about the movement, development, expansion of my human-and-worldview.
Who is your favorite artist or the one who has touched you the most? An album? A song?
My favorite artists are Robert Plant and Bobby McFerrin. To me, they are both the epitome of freedom and an ever-searching musical spirit. The Beatles' double album. Song - Kashmir by Led Zep. I admire also King Crimson, Yes, early Genesis, David Bowie, Bjork, Daniel Johnston.
What are you working on right now? A new project, single, album, other?
Working on several projects, one is a new album for children that wants to bring together the richness of the children's world with a variety of music and lyrics that will appeal and amaze children. I also write music for a children's theater play written by Vesela Flamburari. She starred in a feature film - "Jury" by Ivan Tonev and Petya Yosifova, for whom I also write music. At the same time, I am continuing the duet project with Zora Koleva, who is recording with you, as well as the ethno-project "Mainly Winds". Not bored :)

How can working in a recording studio upgrade a song or an album?
When the studio and the recording process become a place for discovery and creative exchange. When the team heads to the studio, they are engaged in music and make the rules, as well as make their own original music.
Which phase of the recording and post-production is the most key to achieving the best end result?
In the first place, there must be well-recorded voices and instruments. Then it is important to determine the levels and sound picture. Mastering is a separate chapter, the art itself and is done exclusively by the studio team. Each phase of the process is only important for the best end product to be realized.
What is the most memorable event you have in a recording studio?
Once I made a whole take, thinking that the sound engineer had put my voice in the headphones. I felt perfect. After the end of the tape, he was surprised to see that he hadn't let me go: I was singing, only inside.

What services are used in Urban House Studio and what are your impressions?
In Urban House, I recorded my second duet album with the singer Zora Koleva. Exceptional professionalism, attitude to my work, and music. Perfect recording process and correct attitude. The only thing I missed was being able to personally join in choosing the volume levels of each instrument and the overall sound picture. This decision to perform a process in the present is part of the professional ethics of the studio. I am extremely satisfied with the end result, which shows that the level of professionalism and personal attitude to the music recorded in the studio on the part of the team is gigantic.
What do you like most about Urban House Studio and why should you recommend it?
I like the workers on Wednesday, the recording process, and the overall attitude towards music. Prepare it as an extremely comfortable recording environment where you can hear your ideas, voice, and instruments with maximum clarity.
